The Grim Northern Social About The Tartan Heart Festival:
Drag out the flares, the flower power regalia and the Mr Fish shirts. But if you haven’t got ‘em, no matter. Come and enjoy magical music in a stunning setting in a great cause in the sixties spirit of the earth-mother of all festivals, 35 years on. We are deliberately making this a mellow event and safe for those who have kids to bring them. Turn on, tune in and drop out for a weekend in the Highlands.

Maggie’s Cancer Care Centre

About Maggie’s:

Maggie's Centre in Inverness taking shape
Maggie's Cancer Care Centres were begun in Edinburgh by Maggie Keswick who died of breast cancer. Her legacy was to found an organisation which: helps cancer sufferers and their families deal with the debilitating mental effects of the disease; empowers them by providing a well primed source of information on alternative ways to treat cancer (diet, etc.) alongside conventional therapy; gives them a welcoming and attractive environment in which to meet each-other and share the burden. Often the Maggie's Centres are beautiful buildings (ie.the Dundee centre designed by Frank Gehry who designed the Guggenheim in Bilbao). The centres are requested by hospitals - Raigmore, Inverness, is the latest to do so in Scotland.- and have proved immensely popular with patients. For further information, www.maggiescentres.org

About Belladrum:
The home of Joe and Leonie Gibbs, and children Hermione, Eion and Jeanie, Belladrum extends to 1100 acres of Highland farm and forest set in the beautiful Aird between Beauly and Inverness. The old Italian Gardens have been revived for this event to provide a spectacular natural terraced arena in a sylvan setting – a romantic and secure natural theatre.
