BELLADRUM TARTAN HEART FESTIVAL JULY NEWSLETTER (2)

FOY VANCE JOINS LINE-UP

Irish-born singer/songwriter Foy Vance has joined the festival line-up. Foy's Management Freshwater Hughes, the people who discovered Joss Stone, say: 'When we first saw Foy playing live, we knew he was the real deal. The way he communicates with his wonderful poignant songs, with his astonishing, emotive soul voice - it just gives you the goose bumps.' Catch him on the Black Isle Brewery Grassroots stage on Saturday 13th August.

AAAAAARGH! IT'S JEEP SOLID!

Q. What do you do if you're lost on the outer fringes of the known world (Inverness), you're a musician, you've just discovered the power of nettles (Latin name - Urtica Dioica ), and you want to make the front page of NME?
A. You devise a whole new genre of music - HEAVY NETTLE.
Inverness's resident beat poet, part-time fashion designer(Haris tweed crotchless knickers) and full time muso-lunatic will be unavoidable at Belladrum. So if you can't beat him, you may as well grasp the nettle and enjoy his curious blend of sounds and stings. Jeep himself will be playing the penny thistle, but if there are nettles about, stick close to the guy playing the dockens.
