Camping


CAMPING WILL ONLY BE AVAILABLE (AND FREE) TO WEEKEND TICKET HOLDERS ON 10/11/12th AUGUST AND TO SATURDAY DAY TICKET HOLDERS ON 12th AUGUST.

NO CAMPING PASSES WILL BE ISSUED.

IF YOU ARE BRINGING A VEHCILE, YOU WILL NEED 1 PARKING PASS PER VEHCILE. PARKING PASSES WILL BE ISSUED ACCORDING TO WHERE YOU ARE CAMPING TO ENABLE US TO PARK YOU AS CLOSE AS POSSIBLE TO YOUR CAMP SITE

CAMP SITES ARE DESIGNATED AS FOLLOWS: GENERAL (red); FAMILY (green); QUIET (yellow); CAMPER/CARAVAN (blue); DISABLED (orange)

IF YOU ARE NOT CAMPING BUT YOU ARE BRINGING A VEHICLE, YOU NEED 1 RED (GENERAL) PARKING PASS PER VEHICLE UNLESS YOU ARE REGISTERED DISABLED IN WHICH CASE YOU NEED 1 ORANGE PASS PER VEHICLE

We're looking forward to welcoming you to the Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival on 11/12th August 2006. Please read the following information and guidelines on camping carefully. The running of this festival is governed by strict guidelines laid down by the Health & Safety Executive and enacted by Highland Council, the Police and Emergency Services.

PLEASE RESPECT OUR NEIGHBOURS' PRIVACY. PLEASE DO NOT CAUSE THEM ANY UNNECESSARY DISTURBANCE OR ENTER THEIR PROPERTIES.

Arrival/Departure at Camp Site:

Weekend Ticket Holders:

Arrive after 4.00 PM Thursday 10th August and leave by 1.00 PM Sunday 13th August

Saturday Day Ticket Holders:

Arrive after 9.00 AM Saturday 12th August and leave by 1.00 PM Sunday 13th August


Weather:

This is an outdoor festival. Please bring warm waterproof clothing, head and footwear, and something waterproof to sit on, AND ensure your tent is waterproof. Please also bring sunscreen and anti-midge

 

Shops/ food outlets:

 

There will be a camping supplies store at the festival and food outlets in the camping areas.

Camping Zones:

Camping zones will be divided into the following:

 

Tents Only                    General Zone (red)

Family Zone (green)

Quiet Zone (yellow)

Car & Camper Van Zone (blue)

Disabled Zone (Cars & Camper Vans and Tents) (orange)

With the exception of the disabled camping zone, no cars will be allowed in the tents zone. If you are disabled, please show the main ticket checkpoint staff your normal disabled car badge as well as your orange parking pass and you will be directed to the correct zone. Tented campers with cars will be asked to park their cars in the normal car parking area and take their tents to the camping areas. Please bear this is mind when you pack. Persons behaving inappropriately to their zone (ie causing a commotion in the quiet zone) will be moved by stewards.

 

Fires

 

No camp fires will be allowed. There will be a communal camp fire lit each evening.


Drinking Water/ Toilets:

There will be plenty of clearly marked drinking water points around the festival and camp site. The toilets in the festival site will be available to campers (please use them rather than anywhere else!). Paid-for showers will also be available.

Food and drink:

You are able to bring your own food and drink (including alcohol) whether you are camping or a day visitor. However, alcohol, glass bottles, jars or tins will not be allowed into the fenced festival enclosure. Those camping on the night of the 10th are advised to bring their own food though food outlets will be operating. Food The village of Beauly which is two miles from the festival site has small supermarkets and food outlets which are open late.


Fireworks:

No fireworks will be allowed

Animals:

No animals will be admitted. Any animals found will be housed elsewhere at the owner's expense.

Our neighbours:

Please do everything you can not to disturb our neighbours.

    * do not enter the gardens or premises of any houses.
    * do not make any unnecessary noise or disturbance.
    * stay within the parking, camping and festival areas when at the festival, especially during the hours of darkness.
    * help our neighbours and other campers at night by not playing amplified music or causing a disturbance at the campsite

 

Disabled:

There will be a disabled camping area. Cars and camper vans will be allowed to mix with tents in the disabled camping area.


Traffic:

When you leave, please leave quietly. Please stick to 5 mph speed limit and obey stewards' instructions. A one way system will be in operation through the estate. Please try to avoid unnecessary departures and re-entries to parking areas to avoid stress on the ground, disturbance to neighbours and traffic congestion. Parking will be on a grass field so vehicles with low ground clearance will not be appropriate.

Glass, etc:

No glass or tins will be allowed within the security fenced festival area. You will be asked to return any objects like this to your vehicle or tent, so please do not try to enter the festival area with them. There will be checks at the festival entrances.


Hazards:

There is a burn running around the rear of the festival site and depending on prior weather conditions, water can lie in a lochan near the camping area. Parents with small children will need to be vigilant in these areas. Please stay clear of all fenced off buildings - they are fenced off because they are dangerous or out-of-bounds.

Litter:

This year, Bella is going greener. Please dispose of your litter in the bins provided in the camping site and try to use the recycling opportunities provided.

Belladrum Estate and the organisers of the Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival take no responsibility for loss or damage to vehicles or private property during the festival. This includes instances where vehicles are stuck or broken down and are towed with your consent.  Please keep your property safe at all times.

All tickets are sold subject to Highland Council granting a licence and to changes in the bill and order of play. In the event of extreme weather, the organisers reserve the right to cancel the event and refund tickets.

The organisers reserve the right to refuse entry to any person. In that event, a refund of the ticket price will be made.
