HAUNTING MELODY Ghosts have been added to an already burgeoning indie element in the line-up at Bella. Meanwhile Kate Nash and The Hoosiers, both of whom play the festival, have just charted straight into the top ten. Other indie artists include Mumm-Ra, Scouting For Girls, Nine Black Alps, Dundee-based The Law, 1990s, The Dykeenies, Pete & The Pirates, The Needles, Make Model, Foxface, Theatre Fall and Sergeant. |

THE POTTING SHED Bella's latest asset, an informal stage for impromptu gigs, is brought to you by The Medicine Show & nessmp3.com internet radio based in Inverness. LIZZIE MACDOUGALL - FESTIVAL MUMMY Meet Busy Lizzie, our festival mummy, who runs the kids' area at Bella. This year she has waved her fairy wand a.k.a. the cheque book and produced a glittering galaxy of delights for those of tenderer years. Voice-coaching, enough workshops to start an industrial revolution, puppetry, theatre and a mysterious object or creature called 'The Strange Thing' which may reveal its secrets to those who wish to know them. |
